Sarah remembered Jareth and every day she regretted not staying with him, she thought her life back home would be better now that she accepted her baby brother was not to cause for the way she felt. It was her parents and every day she wanted out but she dealt with it silently. Sighing sadly as she looked down closing her eyes a little bit. But she did what she had to, it had been about four years since she saw Jareth. She was eighteen years old now not fifteen and she missed him desperately. But something strange happened to her.
She was going for a walk then before her very eyes she was taken back to see a new land, she was surrounded by the supernatural and she smiled a bit glad that she was away from her parents. But not seeing Tobey there was also a nice sign that he was okay, walking around she got use to the place and had not been there very long. Though she wondered who she would bump into, anything was possible she did know and sticking her hands in her blue jeans she silently sighed wondering and thinking about the one and only Jareth.
But she saw something fly past her head and narrowed her eyes a little and followed it, she was grasping for straws she knew and silently sighed looking over the place. Thinking of a million things, and had no idea what to expect any more as she slowed down looking up at the sky closing her eyes as she silently sighed and leaned her back against a tree leaning into it and looked around her feeling empty and very alone, and her brown eyes trying to come to terms with many things and smiled a little bit.

Four years... four long years since the last time that he'd seen her, four years since a little womanling had turned his entire kingdom on it's ear for what, in the long run, became a bit of a lark. Four years of watching her grow and thrive through windows or mirrors or crystals. She never knew he watched, at least he was almost certain, he didn't want her to. He didn't want anyone to know he was so besotted of this little human girl, the one who'd made him and the labyrinth that he was so proud of appear a fool. To let them know would make her a target in the Courts and give them another weakness against him. That wasn't something he was willing to risk. Let her have her friends, let them think that he didn't know of their secret meetings at night. Let them think whatever they wanted because he knew the truth.
A lovesick fool, that was all he was. Not a king, not a Sidhe, but a damned fool with a crush like a schoolboy. He wanted that thought to fill him with anger, with rage if he could manage it, something that would help him burn away the thoughts he had of the skinny little slip of a thing. But alas... alas he did feel something burning, it was his heart and his body as he thought of her, of how she'd rounded slightly with age but still had the petite statue that was considered beautiful among the Hidden ones. Frustrated more with himself then anything constructive, Jareth threw himself from one of his castle windows, body morphing and shifting until he alighted up on snow and tawny wings, towards the place that his little obsession had been spirited away to.
Oh how he'd been furious when he discovered her not awakening in her own bed, when she was in fact in a place that, while he could get to it, he couldn't figure out exactly where it was in relation to everything else. Was it a very banal looking piece of the Hedge? That would certainly upset the Pooka court... no matter where she was, when he discovered her there, his usually stupid subjects had scattered for days in fear of their king's rage. An owl during the day was... strange, but not unheard of as he lit on silent wings along the skies above the sleepy little town, searching for his Sarah.
Eventually he found her, resting at the base of a large tree, stretched out in repose not unlike when she'd been taken under by the glamour spell that he'd put on the peach that she'd eaten, only now she looked more alert. He dipped low and passed close by her before forming at the base of a tree not far away, thigh high leather boots finding easy purchase among the roots, silk covered arms folded across his mostly bare chest and covered his back that leaned against the rough bark. Mismatched eyes looked up at her through blond lashes, a seductive move rather then a coy one, that hint of a smile on her face, maybe just maybe was she thinking about him?
“I see you've found yourself whisked away on another adventure.”

Sarah had been lost to another world, which she thought was ridiculous how is it one person could be thrown into yet another world. It was rather annoying frankly, but she just wished that someone she knew was here. Then again she did not really know anyone, and figures her friends she made in Jareth's world she would never see again. And she was just glad to be away from her parents, they were driving her nuts with all the shit they put her through. But now at the age of eighteen she knew she was missing a lot.
But she thought she heard something and slowly looked up, her mind was going to all sorts of wild animals who could pull her limb from limb. Animals who would love to tare into her flesh and eat her while she was alive, sure this was a town full of thousands but still this was something totally different. Her heart was beating as she bit her lip. Everything in her told her to run, but something made her stay. And hearing what sounded like a flutter she heard "his" voice and everything in her just froze. How was that possible?"
Slowly she turned her head and saw Jareth standing there, she almost collapsed onto her knees. But she forced herself to continue standing, looking at him. And she lost her breath for a moment, this whole thing was a lot to handle. She had regretted leaving him and his offer, yet here he was standing before her. She did not understand what in the hell was going on, but she could remember everything about him just like she had only been away for a few hours. She became more relaxed and what he said to her she sighed a little.
"Jareth, I never thought I would see you ever again. Though in all honesty if I had been thrown into a world, I wish it had been your world" She looked down and pretty much admitted she regretted letting him go. Regretted hurting him so badly. And Sarah knew he was hurt by what she did, but looking into his eyes she grew comforted knowing that he was here as well. She had never figured out what Jareth was exactly. All she knew was he was not human and was immortal. He was a unique guy that was for sure.

While he'd never gone long without seeing an image of her face, hell he'd even tried to replace her for a time, tell himself that if he could get the Moppet to love him that it would be enough, but it wasn't. Seeing her face turn from a bit of fear to a cross between confusion and joy was enough to make his heart soar, but he didn't want to let her know that yet. Couldn't appear weak or she'd never consider him and everything would be the same as they were before. He'd pleaded with her and she'd denounced him. Watching as her shoulder's slumped slightly as the tension leaked out of her body even as a slightly exasperated sigh passed between her lips.
“I marked you, Sarah,” it had been years since the last time that he'd let her name escape his lips except when he knew he was alone. It felt sweet like honey even as the slight twinge of power that came from a Sidhe using a name tingled along his lips and tongue. “Power over you or not, I can still find you whenever I like.” He deliberately jabbed with the words that had parted the two from each other, gage what her reaction was going to be. He could tell from her tone that she was... regretting her decision as of yet. “Maybe soon enough if all goes well...” he muttered to himself, almost too quietly for her to be able to hear.
Finally, he broke the image he made by uncrossing his arms and pushing away slightly from the tree. Up until this point he'd been eerily stock still as only someone with a millenia of time under their belt would be able to do, the only things moving were his lips and the very slight breeze that would catch the edges of his hair. Long legs eating the ground beneath his boots, Jareth began to close the distance between his chosen prey and himself. Slowly, he brought one gloved hand up and barely caressed her cheek with the backs of his fingers. The gloves were butter soft and you almost couldn't tell that they were covering the peach-twinged skin. She'd gotten more beautiful, he'd been afraid of that. The little womanling who'd raced through his labyrinth and rebelled against his attempts at courtship in a way that only the reckless young would be able to manage.
“I'll always manage to find you.” he answered, his mis-matched eyes boring right into her brown ones.

Sarah was taken back by everything that happened, but she could not help but smile hearing he was watching her and always could if he wanted. But then feeling his gloved hand on her cheek, she could not help but nuzzled her cheek into the hand. So much regret but she had to do what was best for her little brother, who was seven years old now. She could not be selfish and if he had not been thrown into this then everything would have been much better. But she never expected Jareth to ever forgive her for what she did.
But realizing how she was reacting to him, she felt like a love sick puppy it was rather pathetic of her, sighing softly she looked down and closed her eyes. And never knew how to talk to him, him being what he was. She had a lot of pain in her eyes and wondered if he knew just how much she had missed him. How much she regretted things, but she tried to hold her head up. Deal with everything, but it was not working out very well. She tried to be strong, but now here she had nothing.
Which put things in perspective for her, everything just seemed so different. Seemed more lonely and she never had a boyfriend. She never had friends, she was lost in everything. Looking down she felt a tear fall down her check and she turned away from him so he could not see her cry. She was silent in crying, she never even moved her arms or shoulders. It took so much will power from her, she did not know what to do any more. She was just so angry and so lost, it was like doors being slammed right in her face.
"You hold more power over me then you think Jareth, it killed me not being able to say yes to you. If it was not for my brother I would have gone with you in a heart beat. I cut off my emotions so I could get my brother out, because I felt I owed it to him. So many mistakes, biting back the words I said to you. I never got close to a man, because I knew I would compare them to you and there is no comparing. I have nobody in my world so no one will miss me if something happens to me" She sadly said.

This was wrong, all of it was wrong! Everything that he’d said up until this point could have very well been taken as a threat and likely should have given that the last time that they’d crossed paths she’d nearly dissolved his kingdom into chaos and anarchy along with breaking his heart and parts of his power. He was one of the Hidden Ones, a Sidhe royal, for him four years was as near as yesterday and those wounds still burned. Fae scorned in love often got violent or cruel especially to the object of their desires and their spurning, she obviously hadn’t gone through and done any more research once she’d gotten home as he expected she had, looked in books or talked to mystics in order to find out what types of creatures dwelled in places Underground. Where was the spit-fire who’d railed against his Labyrinth and threatened to beat it partially out of spite and not all for a sense of guilt and heroism?
When she’d left his kingdom she’d been a stronger woman, that was the part he lusted after, the part that his heart called out for. He’d expected when he’d arrived so unceremoniously and with such a flippant remark as to her current state for her to at the very least refuse to talk to him. To yell and stamp her foot and maybe even blame him for her imprisonment. How did she know he had nothing to do with this? Instead she was whimpering like a child that he knew she was in body no longer; her child’s spirit he’d thought was still there but instead of the one that was willing to take on the world to seek out all its wonders and it’s horrors, he got the child who cried out for their mother and hid benieth the covers, frightful of the thing inside the closet. Where was that girl? He’d been listening to barely a single word that she’d said last before he threw his arms wide and shouted,
“No!” he crossed the distance between them and, grabbing her shoulders, physically spun her around, unmoved by the twin rivers of tears streaming down her pale cheeks, “This isn’t how the game is played, Sarah, you should know better! All your books, all your stories…I thought you’d actually been paying attention.” He released her shoulders as if the very physical contact burned him even through the leather. His face was unreadable, bordering on furious. Maybe this was a mistake, maybe this was his sign from the Goddess to put away the thoughts of this little girl and to focus again on how best to protect his kingdom from the foolish deal he’d struck. It had all been for nothing. Nothing.
“Nothing so easily rejected, is easily won back.”

She looked up at him and watched him, hearing what he said she took a deep breath. Allowing her emotions to move so she could move and looked at him, looking forward. And could not help but smile a little bit and crossed her arms over her chest, thinking about what to say to him. The wind began to blow her dark brown hair around and could not help but laugh softly, shaking her head and thought of the shit she went through in his world. Her brown eyes hit the ground as she walked a head of him and pressed her back against the tree. "And we have a human saying Jareth, things worth everything is not easily gotten. I am still the Same person I was many years ago, but I have grown up its just been a very hard few years. But things worth keeping, people worth keeping one must fight for it. But you need to realize Jareth I am only human, we are very flawed creatures" She took something from her pocket and held it. It was actually one of his glass orbs he had left it after she had won and got back home. Looking down into the ball and closed her eyes holding it close to her heart, thinking about there time together. She had heard him sing a few times while she was in his world, a voice she wanted to hear again. But perhaps her chance is over and it would never happen. Perhaps she was just a child, but right now something had to happen on her end. To let all her childish attitude out of her. It was the only way to even start to fight, fighting was something that she did not want to do. But would in a heart beat. But a melody came from her lips for the first time as she sang. "Can you forgive me again? I don't know what I said But I didn't mean to hurt you
I heard the words come out I felt that I would die It hurt so much to hurt you
Then you look at me You're not shouting anymore You're silently broken
I'd give anything now to kill those words for you
Each time I say something I regret I cry "I don't want to lose you." But somehow I know that you will never leave me, yeah.
'Cause you were made for me Somehow I'll make you see How happy you make me
I can't live this life Without you by my side I need you to survive
So stay with me You look in my eyes and I'm screaming inside that I'm sorry.
And you forgive me again You're my one true friend And I never meant to hurt you "Forgive Me By Evanescence
